The Girl Who Came Back

When Jules Bright hears a knock on the door, the last person she expects to find is a detective bringing her the news she’s feared for the last three years.

Amelia Quentin is being released from prison.

Jules’s life is very different now to the one she’d known before Amelia shattered it completely. Knowing the girl is coming back she needs to decide what to do. Friends and family gather round, fearing for Jules’s safety. They know that justice was never served; every one of them wants to make the Quentin girl pay.

The question is, what will Jules do; and which of them – her or Amelia – has the most to fear?

I have just read the girl who came back whilst on a boating holiday. As you can expect I did not help with any of the moorings as I was hooked from the start. I love this ladies writing she really pulls you in and is very descriptive. Once am home intend buying no child of mine and don’t let me go as the reviews are excellent.

  • Michelle says:

For someone who doesn’t read much this book captured me right from the start; what a fantastic read. I must admit when I first started reading it I was a little confused as it jumps from past to present but once you get the gist you will not be able to put this book down. I felt the anger and grief of these characters, it was so emotional that it had me in tears at times. I absolutely loved this book and I would most definitely recommend it.

  • Cynthia Briffa says:

HI Susan, Just finished reading The Girl who came back. I also found it hard to put down. Just wondering, is there is going to be a sequel? what happens to some of the characters? specially Amelia? I don’t want to get too much into the plot as it spoils it for whoever has not read it yet. Anyway please keep on writing as I enjoy reading your books.

    Hi
I discovered your writing when I took “Don’t let me go” on holiday. I was instantly hooked and I have read lots more of your amazing stories since. I recently bought “No child of mine” and was fuming with myself when I realised I should have read it before “Don’t let me go”!!!!!!
I have since printed a list from the internet so I won’t make that mistake again. Keep up the good work !!!!
    Carolyn

    • Susan Lewis says:

I’m so sorry, Carolyn, that it wasn’t clearer which order to read the books in. You might like to know that there is a third in the series (no title yet) due for publication early 2017. 🙂
