Dance While You Can
It all started with a silly prank, a play and a dance – a love so enduring, so indestructible that it would survive against all odds.
Elizabeth Sorrill is the junior matron at Foxton’s élite School for Boys. Blessed with the kind of beauty others only dream about, her attractions prove irresistible to Alexander Belmayne, the seventeen-year-old son of the Lord Chief Justice. But their passionate affair is shortlived as bitter lies and scandal force them apart.
Angry and frustrated at Oxford, Alexander thrives on his reputation as a heartbreaker, until Bohemian beauty Jessica Poynter draws him into a fast life of glittering excess and depravity in London’s high society. But when a chance meeting brings Alexander and Elizabeth together again, their passionate reunion leads to a breathtaking crime fired by an overwhelming obsession – a hatred so violent it knows no limits…
Hi Susan,
From my first, No Child of Mine, I have made it a priority to read as many of your books as I can. I believe I only have three that I haven’t read. Just finished Dance While You Can and was wondering if everyone thought she and Alexander were united in the end, or did she commit suicide?
I think we’d all like to believe in the happy ending 🙂
Hallo Susan,
I was so obsessed by the Story It was such Pulse racing most the last 50 Pages! i liked your Book so much i could read and read IT again. But one question raised does Elisabeth go to the prison in the end?
Greetings 🙂
Hi Susan,
This book was awesome. It also was my first of yours to read but I couldn’t stop until I knew the whole story. I was just bound to the characters and this sweetest love between Alexander and Elizabeth ever…
I was so surprised by the sudden turn short before the end, when Elizabeth tells Alexander all the truth, and so happy about the last two lines of the book. I was reading so fast and hoping so bad for them to be there. And they were, so thank you very much, good work!
Hi.. I saw you book on a book sale and I was so glad that I bought it! I’ve read the book for only one day..I can’t stop myself from turning the page. It was really a page-turner! I was so amazed how you came up with the twists in the story. Like the one when ELizabeth told Edward that she was pregnant with Jonathan…then Edward told her that he had a vasectomy..I cried on that part because of the unrequited love of Edward for ELizabeth.
I expected more for the ending but well its a great book! 2 thumbs up!

Hi Susan, I just finished this book. My first of yours to read. I truly delighted in the complexities of the story and how they ,so unreal at times, believably and beautifully bound the story together. A book that totally engrossed me from Foxton to Sark. Thank you

That’s so lovely of you, Juanita. I’m so pleased you find this book so enjoyable and I hope, if you decide to read any others, that you’ll find you like them too. Welcome to my website, and welcome to my books.
